WHO WE ARE
Our backgrounds are rich and varied, and as a result, our team has diverse creative expertise. Kiffer and Keira work side-by-side on all aspects of a project. We are not redundant. We are a concentrated team of seven.
Keira began her design career at the seminal graphic design firm M&Co., founded by Tibor Kalman, in 1991. She then worked at M&Co. offshoots Bureau and Number 17. Curious about motion and live action, she moved to MTV as an art director in the on-air design department followed by five years as creative director at Sundance TV. She has taught in the graphic design graduate program at Yale since 1999 and frequently lectures about design. She received a BFA in graphic design from RISD.
Antoine is an integral part of the team at Work-Order, from full brand books, to motion design projects. A Frenchman with a Bachelor in Graphic Design from Lyon France, Antoine thinks from a place of strategy, function and beauty combined.
Preston recently graduated with an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and teaches at Pratt Institute. Specializing in typography and UX design, Preston applies design thinking across experiences and web systems.
Risa has created brand and strategy campaigns for Nike, Evian, Oscar, Target, Whole Foods, First Look Media, Kodak and Sonos. She writes for Vice, The Baffler, Purple and HBO and has received a Pushcart Prize for fiction, and was a fellow at the MacDowell Colony and The Corporation of Yaddo. Her best-selling book Taxi Driver Wisdom has been deemed a wise and hilarious classic.
Leaving Texas and his traditional liberal arts education behind, Kiffer moved to New York to study cinematography and typography at the School of Visual Arts. He then worked for seven years designing, directing and animating at Comedy Central before his next about-face as lead designer for over a dozen major luxury and media accounts at several agencies.
Stephanie oversees all elements of each job, including contracts, scheduling and client communication. With a BA in Photography and an MFA in Printmaking she understands the process of a creative. She currently spends her weekends on Governor’s Island in resident with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
Allison has worked with Kiffer and Keira for seven years. She previously managed production on projects such as the Comedy Central Rebrand, New York Times New Fronts, and for clients such as Cadillac, Lincoln, and Target. Currently she is the business manager of Work-Order.
