NEW YORK TIMES: EVERY ANGLE
360˚ production for the New York Times newfronts event.
A VISUAL THREAD FROM START TO FINISH
Our throughline, Every Angle, allowed us to create and produce all aspects of the event to point to a singular theme. The audience takeaway was not only that the Times’ journalistic range covers every angle but also every medium and platform as well, an important marketing message as they grow from traditional to new media.
VIOLINS TO VR
“[CEO Mark Thompson’s] intro followed a modernist violin performance from online sensation Caroline Shaw. Her pizzicato reverb was set against a monochromatic, tech-forward backdrop seemingly lifted out of a James Turrell exhibition or a Brian Eno-in-ambient-mode concert.” — Dade Hayes, Broadcasting & Cable
Guests were invited to experience VRSE’s virtual reality documentary with Google cardboard about the photographer JR’s collaboration with the New York Times.
Hatfarm created and performed a live ambient audio installation in the check-in area. As guests walked by, directional speakers isolated different voices from Times Video content.
